Dr. James Leong is an eye doctor in Wellington. For years, his demanding schedule was a constant 1 caught in a tug-of-war between his patients and a mountain of paperwork. Every day was a 2 . He’d see up to 50 patients, then spend his evenings and weekends buried under medical notes and reports. “The exhausting routine 3 me of family time. When my daughter asked why I missed her school play again, I showed her the 4 pile of charts in my trunk.” Dr. Leong said.
Just when it seemed like things couldn’t get any 5 , a new technology entered the picture — a digital assistant called an AI scribe. This “co-pilot” listens to doctor-patient 6 , instantly transcribes (记录) notes, drafts reports, and organizes documentation.
Now Dr. Leong is no longer 7 to a keyboard, free to do what he does best: 8 with his patients. “It 9 my human intelligence for where it matters most,” he says. The 10 is transformative. Dr. Leong can see a patient and have a follow-up letter 11 by the time they reach reception. Over the last three months alone, the new tech has 12 over 250,000 specialist consultations in New Zealand and Australia.
This is more than just a story about 13 ; it’s a solution that gives doctors back their time and passion for 14 . For Dr. Leong, it’s finally possible to be both a dedicated physician and a present 15 .

I 2 clinical psychologist Dr. Robert Puff, host of the Happiness Podcast, who speaks 3 about pain and suffering. He explains that 4 is an unavoidable physical feeling. 5 , suffering comes from the thoughts we have about the pain we are experiencing-for example, “Why is this happening to me?” or “I’ll never feel good again.” These 6 are what cause suffering, and we can choose to 7 them.
John O’Leary is the host of the Live Inspired Podcast. When he was just nine years old, John suffered 8 burns over his entire body and doctors told him that he had one percent chance of 9 . No one expected him to 10 . However, after dozens of surgeries and years of treatment and deep inner work, he is a fairly happy, 11 man with a beautiful family. He inspires others through his 12 as a motivational speaker, author, and life coach. He feels that what happened to him was his greatest 13 : the realization that, regardless of our personal and professional challenges, we can navigate and overcome to reveal a 14 vision. In John’s words, “You can’t always choose the path you walk in life, but you can always choose the 15 in which you walk.”

My life has always been driven by a passion for progress. I love physics and engineering, dreaming of a future shaped by technology. My grandfather’s world is the 1 of mine. His passion is a massive old oak tree (橡树) that stands in the center of town. At first, I 2 to understand his dedication to something that, in my view, served no 3 purpose. It was just a tree to me, but to him, it was a living record of 4 .
Every evening, I read the local newspaper to Grandpa. One day, I found a heated debate: the town council 5 to cut down the oak to make way for a new parking lot. They 6 it was for progress. My initial 7 was logical: a parking lot would be more useful.
But then, I saw deep sadness in my grandpa’s eyes. He began sharing the 8 of the tree — how generations had gathered under its branches for celebrations and comfort. He spoke of its 9 as a strong link that joined people through the years. For the first time, I saw that his passion was not just about the past, but about real value that I had 10 .
So I researched town laws, 11 alternative plans that would save the tree, and used data to convince the council that progress didn’t mean 12 the past. I tried to save the tree, for the 13 meaning it held in my grandpa’s heart.
In the end, we saved the oak. That summer taught me that passion is not just about building the 14 ; it is equally about preserving the essential. Progress and respect for the past can grow 15 — just like the deep roots and strong branches of that old tree.

The cups were of all 3 — porcelain, glass, clay; some plain and dull, some 4 and exquisitely carved; a few inlaid with sparkling crystals. “Help yourselves to the coffee,” the professor said, eyes twinkling with purpose.

He paused, and then added softly, “The happiest don’t have the best of everything. They simply make the best of what they have.” The students nodded, grasping the lesson hidden in a cup of coffee.
