空后about his homework“关于他的作业”,think about“思考、思索”为固定搭配,符合语境。
此处作do的逻辑宾语,what to do表示“该做什么”符合语境。
What’s the matter?
worry about sth. on、of、with均不能与worries构成该搭配。
join sb. in doing sth.

Can you believe that bees are cleverer math learners than people? A study shows that bees have even greater math abilities. After some training, they can know the difference between even numbers (偶数,ending in 0, 2, 4, 6 and 8) and odd numbers (奇数,ending in 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9).
Some scientists put up different cards with an odd or even number of triangles (三角形). They used the numbers 1 to 10. Then they trained the first group of bees to choose odd numbers and the second group to choose even numbers. If a bee flew to the right card, it would get sugar water. If it chose the wrong card, it got bitter (苦的) water.
In a short time, all the bees knew what odd numbers or even numbers were. They could fly to the right numbers 80% of the time. After that, the scientists added new cards with the numbers 11 and 12. The bees never saw the numbers in their training before, but they could choose rightly 70% of the time. Surprisingly, the bees learned odd numbers more quickly than people.
How did the bees learn the numbers so fast? Scientists didn’t have a clear idea. But they believe if they find the answer, it will help them build better and faster computers. After all, a bee’s brain is about 86,000 times smaller than ours!
16. How does the writer start the passage?
A. By giving an idea. B. By using a picture.
C. By asking a question. D. By giving an example.
17. Which of the following cards should the second group of bees fly to?
A. ②③ B. ①④ C. ①② D. ③④
18. What is the right order the scientists do their study?
①give sugar or bitter water to the bees ②put up cards with numbers 1-10
③train 2 groups of bees to choose cards ④add new cards with bigger numbers
A. ①②③④. B. ②③①④. C. ②①③④. D. ③②①④.
19. What can we learn from the last paragraph?
A. Scientists know how bees learn numbers.
B. Bees have a great ability to learn numbers.
C. Bees like odd numbers better than even numbers.
D. Scientists know why bees can tell different numbers.
20. Where can we read this passage in the newspaper?
A. Clever Animals. B. Delicious Food. C. Festival Week. D. Future Cities.
16. C 17. A 18. B 19. B 20. A

根据第二段:“the second group to choose even numbers”,可知第二组蜜蜂需要选择偶数卡片。
根据第二段、第三段梳理实验步骤: 第二段“Some scientists put up different cards with an odd or even number of triangles. They used the numbers 1 to 10.”——②put up cards with numbers 1-10;第二段“Then they trained the first group of bees to choose odd numbers and the second group to choose even numbers.”——③train 2 groups of bees to choose cards;第二段“If a bee flew to the right card, it would get sugar water. If it chose the wrong card, it got bitter water.”——①give sugar or bitter water to the bees;第三段“After that, the scientists added new cards with the numbers 11 and 12.”——④add new cards with bigger numbers 完整顺序为②③①④。
根据最后一段:“How did the bees learn the numbers so fast? Scientists didn’t have a clear idea. But they believe if they find the answer, it will help them build better and faster computers.”

In our daily lives, we communicate in many different ways.
One of the most common ways is face-to-face communication. When we talk to our friends, family, or teachers in person, we can see expressions on their faces, understand their body language, and hear the tone of their voices. This helps us understand not only the words they say but also their emotions. For example, a big smile on someone’s face usually means they are happy. When we’re sharing exciting news with a friend over coffee, face-to-face communication makes the moment even more special.
Another form is communication through social media. Platforms like WeChat and QQ allow us to chat with people far away. We can share photos, videos, and ideas easily. However, we can’t see the real-time reactions of the other person. For example, when we post a funny story on WeChat Moments, we have to wait for likes and comments to know how others feel.
Phone calls are also popular. We can have a quick conversation when we are busy. But sometimes, it’s hard to express complex ideas over the phone. For example, when we need to explain a detailed plan to a colleague (同事), a phone call might not be enough.
In short, each way of communication has its own advantages and disadvantages (优缺点). We should choose the right one according to different situations.
21. What is the most common way of communication according to the passage?
A. Through social media. B. Through phone calls.
C. Face-to-face communication. D. By writing letters.
22. What can we understand from face-to-face communication?
A. Only the words people say. B. Emotions of the speakers before us.
C. The future plans of the speaker. D. The other person’s past experiences.
23. What does the underlined word “Platforms” mean in Para. 3?
A. Tools. B. Places. C. Appearances. D. Websites or apps.
24. What can we infer (推断) from the passage?
A. Phone calls are not useful at all at present (目前).
B. Social media is the best way to communicate.
C. We should only use face-to-face communication.
D. We should choose the right communication forms by situations.
25. Which is the right structure (结构) of the passage?
A. B. C. D.
C 22. B 23. D 24. D 25. C
第二段“One of the most common ways is face-to-face communication.”
第二段“This helps us understand not only the words they say but also their emotions.”
最后一句“We should choose the right one according to different situations.”
C
Researchers from Peking University created a new tool called ThermoFace. Different from older ways to look at one’s body temperature, it looks at different parts of the face to check people’s age and health.
__________
The face has many blood vessels (血管). With their help, ThermoFace can find “hot” and “cool” areas in the face that change with age and illness. For example, as people become older, the temperature of their nose goes down faster than other parts of their face. If someone’s nose is warmer, it means he has a younger age. However, the area around the eyes usually gets hotter as people get older. Scientists also find that people with high blood pressure (血压) have warmer cheeks. With ThermoFace, doctors can notice people’s illness earlier. They can do more tests and give advice.
Can ThermoFace work perfectly?
Will ThermoFace work the same for everyone? We still don’t know. Other factors, like exercise and eating ice cream, can change the temperature of your face. The tool can’t tell us why something happened, but it can show doctors that there might be a problem.
ThermoFace is helpful for research (研究), but we still need to find out if it can be used in real life to help doctors.
26. What can ThermoFace mainly do?
A. It can tell someone’s name. B. It can check someone’s health.
C. It can change someone’s face. D. It can take someone’s temperature.
27. Which of the following can be put in “________”?
A. How does ThermoFace work? B. Why can ThermoFace show age?
C. Where does the idea come from? D. When does the temperature get higher?
28. Which is probably the result of the research? (area of eyes: ———;area of nose: - - - - - - )
A. B. C. D.
29. What does the underlined word “factors” mean in Paragraph 3?
30. What does the writer think of ThermoFace in real-life use?
A. Difficult. B. Helpful. C. Successful. D. Unsure.
26. B 27. A 28. A 29. C 30. D

第一段说明ThermoFace的功能:“it looks at different parts of the face to check people’s age and health”,检测人们的健康状况。
第二段表明ThermoFace工作方式:“The face has many blood vessels (血管). With their help, ThermoFace can find ‘hot’ and ‘cool’ areas in the face that change with age and illness...”
第二段表明年龄与体温的关系:“as people become older, the temperature of their nose goes down faster than other parts of their face. ”和“However, the area around the eyes usually gets hotter as people get older.”,鼻子温度越高代表年龄越小,眼周区域温度会随年龄增长而上升,图片A符合。
第三段“Other factors , like exercise and eating ice cream, can change the temperature of your face.
最后一段表明作者态度:“but we still need to find out if it can be used in real life to help doctors.”,还不确定ThermoFace能否在实际生活中使用。

根据第1段“AI robots are becoming... important in people’s daily lives.”,可知人工智能机器人在我们的日常生活中扮演着重要的角色,故填important。
③根据第2段“My job is to spend time with children and teach them.”
④题干中给出“My aunt is a doctor”,根据第4段“I’m a medical robot... I can help doctors work better during operations.”

A. B. C. D.
A. Difficult. B. Helpful. C. Successful. D. Unsure.
